HR Project Manager

Role Summary

Xiros is a small but highly successful innovative medical implant company, which operates in the field of minimally invasive surgery, specialising in medical devices and orthopaedic implants. We have a culture of putting people first with an emphasis on employee well-being, development and self-fulfilment within a process based, non-hierarchical structure.

This is a new role to work alongside our existing HR team and take responsibility in the following key areas:


To oversee the recruitment process including:

  • Sourcing candidates for key roles, including “headhunting”
  • Interviewing for key roles
  • Salary benchmarking
  • Considering the use of aptitude/psychometric testing

Succession Planning:

  • To consider the loss/absence of current key people and plan strategically for future needs of the business

Training/Career Development:

  • Developing individual and company training plans
  • Developing a leadership training programme and support for team leaders

Disciplinary/grievance/conflict management:

  • Providing  training and support for team leaders
  • Direct involvement in formal and informal meetings

Essential knowledge and experience:

  • Knowledge  of employment legislation and good practice relating to disciplinary, grievance, equal opportunities and experience of carrying out disciplinary and grievance hearings
  • Experience of sourcing and interviewing candidates for high level positions
  • Experience of developing and leading training programmes within an SME
  • Experience of leading HR projects, ideally including implementation of a formal approach to succession planning

Desirable qualifications:

  • Educated to degree level
  • CIPD qualification at Level 5 or above
