Territory Sales Manager – The Midlands and Wales

Role Summary

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced sales professional with medical device experience to join us as a Territory Sales Manager covering The Midlands and Wales.

The role will have responsibility for selling our portfolio of orthopaedic products for soft tissue repair to surgeons throughout the Midlands and Wales region. Reporting into the UK Sales Manager, the successful candidate will be proactive, able to build effective relationships with orthopaedic surgeons and effective at hitting growth targets. Previous sports medicine experience would be highly advantageous although not essential.


Work with UK Sales Manager to attain and exceed growth targets.
Target new and existing hospitals to sell company products to meet Key Performance Indicators and assist in ensuring a consistent trajectory of growth for the company.
Assess clients’/ surgeons’ needs and promote suitable products utilizing effective selling skills and performing cost-benefit analysis through an effective customer value proposition.
Provide product information and deliver product samples.
Attend live surgeries to provide case support.
Attend cadaver labs, sales meetings, conference calls, training sessions and exhibitions as required.
Build positive relationships with surgeons to support sales growth plan.
Update CRM system after each visit or contact with customers or potential customers and keep accurate records and documentation. Provide recommendations and key metrics to the UK Sales Manager as requested.
Handle feedback and complaints in a timely way and in accordance with the requirements of the Compliance department.
Undertake continuous learning and development and stay up to date with the latest medical data and research.
Undertake any other duties as may be requested by the UK Sales Manager or Sales & Marketing Director.

Strong presentation, negotiation and sales skills including the ability to open doors and close deals.
Excellent communication skills to enable effective liaison with surgeons and opinion leaders.
Excellent organisational skills.
Strong problem-solving skills.
Good written communication skills.
Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to work as part of a team and with people from across the whole company.
Full driving licence.

Desirable Experience, Knowledge and Qualifications

Previous experience in medical devices through sales, engineering or product management.
Degree in life science discipline, science or marketing.
Excellent knowledge of product range and related medical requirements.
High level of business acumen.

Starting salary:
£30K basic plus commission plus car
