Health and Wellbeing Month at Xiros

October is Health and Wellbeing month at Xiros, where we hold a range of activities to help staff improve their overall health and wellbeing.
As part of the October schedule, flu vaccinations were offered to all staff at the beginning of the month and last week parenting sessions took place, with external speakers offering tips and techniques on how parents can support children through periods of transition. Our regular yoga, tai chi, pilates, football and badminton sessions will take place throughout the month, and in addition staff have been offered the chance to attend meditation groups and to have a head, shoulder or hand massage.
Each of the departments within Xiros will have the chance to get together for a chat over coffee and cake in fika sessions, and local walks have been organised to give everyone the chance to get outdoors and away from their desks over lunchtime. All employees are encouraged to engage with any sessions that they would find most helpful or enjoyable and we aim to ensure that all members of staff have an opportunity to get the most from the activities available.
