Xiros’ Textiles Team Leader appointed as Textile Institute Council Member

Our Textiles Manufacturing Team Leader, Mac Randhawa, has become a member of the standing committee for the prestigious Textile Institute.

The Textile Institute is an international not-for-profit organisation governed by a council representing members throughout the world. Legally constituted by a royal charter in 1925 with an aim to promote professionalism in all areas associated with textile industries worldwide, the membership base’s professional expertise is diverse, ranging from art and fashion to economics and science.

The internal body committee in each country meets approximately 5 times a year and steer the institute’s focus. The council is made up of a range of academics and people in industry from across the whole supply chain, from fibres to finished fabrics.

This year Mac and the Xiros team will be attending the Textile Institute World Congress at the University of Leeds on the 23rd-26th July. To find out more about the Textile Institute visit www.textileinstitute.org
