Xiros wins ‘Excellence in Social Responsibility’’ IIP Award

We are thrilled to announce that Xiros has won the Investors in People ‘Excellence in Social Responsibility’ award 2017 for our company size category (2 -499). Our HR Director Kate De Juan and HR Manager Emma Tresnan, pictured, accepted the award at the ceremony on the 23rd November at the Old Billingsgate, London. The Investors in People awards celebrate companies that exhibit the best people management practices amongst Investors in People accredited businesses. The companies shortlisted in our category came from all around the world and we are proud to be named as a leader in people management practice globally.

Xiros places social responsibility at the heart of our business and our ultimate goal is to make a positive difference to the world, both through our business ventures and through our not-for-profit projects, our dedication to social responsibility has been reflected in this award. Some of our CSR efforts include staff work-time volunteer days for nominated charities; raising and donating large amounts of money to charity; focusing on encouraging the next generation to take up careers in the Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths (STEM) sector; and an active environmental group that ensures we work in an environmentally friendly way, both through business practice and the maintenance of our Leeds site.

On accepting the award, our HR Director, Kate de Juan, said “We are delighted that Xiros has won this prestigious award.  Our commitment to CSR is not just a policy; it is something that is driven from our Chairman down throughout the organisation and is rooted in the culture of Xiros.  Every employee has played their part in our winning this award. ”
