Following our recent outstanding achievement of the Queen’s Award for Enterprise (read more here) we are pleased to be in the running for another award.
Xiros has been nominated to the All-Party Parliamentary Corporate Responsibility Group (APCRG) by Greg Mulholland, MP for Leeds North-West, as his Constituency Responsible Business Champion. Xiros will now be considered by Parliament for the title of 2016 APCRG National Responsible Business Champion.
This is an annual award, presented for responsible business practice, which recognises companies who go the extra mile to support their local communities. Criteria for the 2016 award include investing in healthy workplaces, offering apprenticeships and training to all age groups and promoting equality and diversity in the workplace; all things which are second nature to Xiros. Our company ethos is to put people first and to improve quality of life, and we are delighted to have been recognised in this way by our local MP for doing what we believe in.
Greg Mulholland described Xiros as “a fantastic example of a local business, who not just support Yorkshire’s economy, but its charities, elderly residents and environment.” He added, “I was delighted to be able to nominate them for a Responsible Business award, they are very deserving of it, and hopefully they’ll go all the way and win the national award.”
