Chartered Quality Professional Stephen Seed has recently been appointed to the role of Regulatory Affairs Manager at Xiros.
Initially joining the company in October 2012 as Regulatory Affairs Associate, Stephen’s expertise and extensive experience in his field has proved invaluable and he has quickly progressed to the top spot. Stephen is instrumental in ensuring new products are developed in accordance with Medical Device Regulations; gaining approval of new devices in the required markets; gaining approval of existing devices in new markets; and ensuring Xiros’s practices and records comply with changing Medical Device regulatory requirements.
In addition to his current qualifications (HND, DipNEBOSH, CQP, MCQI, MTOPRA), Stephen is studying towards a Master’s degree in Medical Technology Regulatory Affairs at Cranfield University. He is also a qualified lead auditor for ISO 13485, the quality management system standard for medical devices.
As well as over 20 years’ experience as a Quality Manager, Stephen has previously worked as a professional sculptor producing toy soldiers, so he is no stranger to the almost military precision required to keep up with changing Medical Device regulatory requirements. In his spare time he likes to relax with a spot of birdwatching and spend time with his family.
